a different animal out of 140 each day

staircase in primary school

The shape of the building reminds the one of a ship, harbored in the middle of a flow of green parks. In Eric Lanz’ video projections, a different animal appears and vanishes each day, in a sort of animal ark calendar. The images appear like fragile and moving drawings on the white walls. They come across smooth and with a kind of mystery. Their outlines are shaped through slowly developing changes of materials like wax or salt, sand or snow, chalk or cocoa.

The daylight projections are placed in three spots of the school building and react playfully with the architectures clarity and transparency. The new build of Atelier Bonnet architects houses a crèche, a primary school and a multipurpose hall for neighborhood communities.
